Quantex Multi Asset Fund

The All-Weather Portfolio

Peter Frech has been managing the Quantex Multi Asset Fund since the end of 2020. By combining our proven value-style stock selection with a high commodity and gold allocation and an under-weighting of interest rate sensitive bonds, we offer a real alternative to conventional mixed assets funds.

The fund offers inflation protection and participation in the equities and commodities markets as well as regular re-balancing to reduce risk. It is suited for investors with a medium risk tolerance. There are private (R) and institutional (I) classes of the fund in CHF, EUR and USD.

Three Reasons to Buy

Broadly diversified with inflation protection

The fund invests broadly in stocks, commodities and fixed-income. Most mixed assets funds focus solely on stocks and bonds. This makes them vulnerable to the risk of rising inflation and interest rates. By using commodities in the form of futures contracts and physical gold, a better diversification of  inflation risks is sought.

Value Style

When selecting stocks, the fund relies on the tried and tested methodology used for the Global Value Fund. The focus is on company analysis. We don't want to pay anything for fantastic promises for the future. We protect ourselves against errors with a safety margin between the price paid and our calculated fair value.

Counterweights to Equity Risk

The fund tries to compensate for the volatility risk in stocks by investing in physical gold and a fair amount of short-term liquidity. Since this is primarily about defensive stability, a large part of the liquidity is held in Swiss francs and the gold is kept in physical form with the custodian bank without any counterparty risk.
